What level of VOCs do your beds/mattresses emit?

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are carbon-containing gases that can have an impact on the quality of air in your home. Study suggest that VOCs can have negative impacts on your health and you should try to limit your exposure to them wherever possible.

All products, even ones made with natural & organic materials, emit some level of VOCs. So whilst it is impossible to say that our mattresses emit zero VOCs, by not using polyurethane foams, chemical fire retardants and plastics in our mattresses, we are avoiding the major sources of VOCs found in non-natural fibre beds and mattresses.

We have gone a step further to reduce the risk of VOC exposure by designing our mattresses to be naturally fire-retardant, which means they comply with the strict British fire regulations without the use of any toxic chemical fire retardants generally found in conventional mattresses.
