Made by hand in Devon, our Trendy toppers are stuffed full of supremely comfy natural and sustainable fibres - perfect for those looking to soften the feel of a firmer mattress.

    We shred unused denim offcuts from the jeans industry and form them into pillowy cushioned pads.

  • 2. Organic Wool

    Sourced from local organic farms. Traps heat when you need it and disperses it when you don’t.

  • 3. Cotton & Wool Covers

    A tightly-woven, hypoallergenic wool & cotton fibre cover meets fire regulations without the need for any chemicals whatsoever.

The Trendy represents our softest mattress topper - a feel that is largely provided by the thick layer of recycled denim. We take the unused ‘virgin’ denim leftovers from the fashion industry, and turn them into a comfy, breathable and soft filling for our mattresses and toppers.

As with all of our toppers the Trendy is hand crafted to order in our Devon workshop, from only the finest natural and organic materials. It will instantly add an extra layer of comfort and improved breathability to any mattress.

Clever Covers

In the UK there are strict fire safety standards that mattresses & toppers must pass before they can be sold. An overwhelming majority of manufacturers achieve this certification by treating their products with chemical fire retardants, but ​this never sat right with us. So we developed a covering fabric woven exclusively from cotton and wool that met the safety requirements without the need for any chemicals whatsoever.

We are also the only mattress manufacturer to add a hypoallergenic finishing pr​ocess to our covers. We treat them with natural extracts to guarantee protection from dust mites and bed bugs - perfect for allergy sufferers, whose conditions are often triggered by these unwelcome bedfellows.

At Naturalmat, we believe that people, not machines, make a superior, long-lasting product. Our team of craftspeople ensure every stitch, every fibre, every tufting button and every cover is painstakingly created, teased and checked. That’s why we proudly stamp ‘Made by hand in Devon’ on all of our toppers.

Sustainable Packaging

Our toppers are rolled up and double wrapped in our signature sugarcane bioplastic packaging to keep it dry and safe in transit. We also use some of our offcut fabric strips to tie up the rolled topper, keeping it intact.

When you receive your topper, you can either recycle the bioplastic through your local council (if they collect LDPE 4 soft plastics) or drop it off at one of your local supermarkets that accept flexible plastics for recycling.

    Amazing!

    We bought our trendy topper for our firm mattress to add a little more ‘give’. We can’t believe what a difference it’s made. The firmness of the mattress is still there but the topper gives exactly the right amount of extra softness. A perfect solution. Well worth the reconcile price.

    Topper for my 3 year old son’s bed

    I chose this one after an employee on the phone advised it was a good choice for a young child. Firm but not too firm. It’s excellent and super comfortable. It does have a sheep smell which I was initially concerned would be overwhelming but it doesn’t bother any of us at all and I actually quite like it.
