The original 100% natural nursery mattress, perfect for babies.

A thick layer of organic coir forms the core of the Coco Mat, padded top and bottom with locally sourced organic wool to create a firm, flat and breathable sleep surface - as recommended for new babies by the Lullaby Trust.

    Organic coconut husk fibres, bound with rubber. Breathable, supportive, durable, and an infinitely renewable material.

    Sourced from organic farms local to us in the Southwest. Amazingly breathable, it helps your baby regulate their body temperature.

    Made from unbleached cotton and machine washable at 40º to combat stains and other nasties. [Cot & Cotbed sizes only] 

Handmade in Devon using organic & sustainable materials, the Coco Mat is the perfect natural mattress for your SnuzPod Crib, whether it's version 2, 3 or 4. The Lullaby Trust recommends a firm, flat sleep space - which is just what is provided by the Coco Mat thanks to its thick core of organic coconut fibre. We've designed these particular natural mattresses for SnuzPod Cribs to fit snugly into the rectangular bases of the Snüz range, ensuring your little one has a perfectly-sized mattress for their sleep space.


The ingredients in the SnuzPod Coco Mat are naturally breathable and self-ventilating to help babies regulate their body temperature, for a long and comfortable night’s sleep. Our wool is sourced from Soil Association certified organic farms local to us in South West England, and our coir is grown exclusively for us in Sri Lanka by the world’s only certified organic coir plantation.


The SnuzPod Coco Mat mattress features a herringbone cover made from a blend of wool & cotton - woven tightly in such a way that our covers are naturally fireproof, with no need for synthetic FR treatment. Likewise, our covers are finished with an OEKO-tex certified, plant-based geraniol treatment to make them bed-bug and dust-mite resistant - perfect for children with allergies.

For safety reasons, we remove the zip pull from the outer and inner covers. To open the zip, please use a paper clip or safety pin to draw the zip slide.

Our cover is removable and machine washable at 40°c (delicate/wool cycle recommended).

    Custom mattress

    Our baby’s mattress arrived this week and it fits perfectly. It looks good quality. I expected it to have a smell as I’ve experienced with mattresses and bedding with wool but it was pretty neutral. It arrived quicker than expected and the customer service was really helpful.

    A natural toxin free mattress for he new born

    We were looking for a comfortable natural mattress for the baby that's also toxin free. After some research, this one ticked all the boxes.

    The mattress, is perfect for the snuzpod 3 and fit precisely

    I have aired it out as well to help air the natural smells that are expected from suj a product.

    Great mattress

    I initially went into the notting hill showroom to make sure I got the size correct. The team was incredibly helpful and warm.

    After a bit of a confusion around delivery which was handled super professionally, we were so happy to receive the mattress.

    Our daughter seems to sleep really well and I love knowing that she’s safely sleeping on a natural mattress.

    Would def recommend.

    Great mattress

    We purchased The Coco Mat for our baby after deliberating for a while about what type of mattress was best, I’m so pleased we decided to go down the natural route and Naturalmat have provided a great mattress. The quality is brilliant, even better than I was expecting and our baby is sleeping well on it.

    Your mattress will be delivered by our logisitics partner in the form of a large parcel. You will receive email notification when your order has been dispatched.

    Our nursery mattresses are wrapped in home compostable packaging made from potato starch, and delivered in a recycled cardboard box.
