The Spring Teen mattress is ideal for their first bed, made with hand-nested springs and lashings of breathable cotton fibre.

Here’s the science: we start with a cage of hand-nested springs, each contained within its own super-ventilating cotton pocket. The springs are then wrapped in a thick layer of breathable cotton fibre, which is finally topped with locally-sourced organic lambswool.

    Unbleached and undyed, this cotton fibre layer is remarkably springy and self-ventilating.

  • 2. Pocket Springs

    Hand nested in individual cotton pockets and available in three tensions - firm, medium and soft.

  • 3. Organic Wool

    Sourced from organic farms local to us in the Southwest. Amazingly breathable, it helps your child regulate their body temperature.

When your little ones move into their first grown-up bed, our Teen Spring mattress will cater to their changing needs and keep them sleeping comfortably all the way up to 13 and beyond - hence the name. The Teen Spring sits between our baby mattresses and full size adult mattresses as a better value but still wonderfully comfortable option.

Combining all of the handmade craftsmanship of our adult range in a slightly slimmer profile, the Teen Spring is a wonderful blend of traditional pocket springs and natural fibre. Fluffy, temperature-regulating cotton surrounds a unit of hand nested pocket springs, both of which are sandwiched between layers of locally-sourced wool - providing exceptional breathability.

The Teen Spring is encased in a natural cotton cover, woven so tightly that the cover is naturally fireproof with no need for synthetic FR treatment. Likewise, our covers are finished with GREENFIRST® - an all-natural treatment made from eucalyptus, lavender and lemon extract - making them bed-bug and dust-mite resistant, perfect for children with allergies.

Clever Covers

​In the UK there are strict fire safety standards that mattresses must pass before they can be sold to the public. An overwhelming majority of manufacturers achieve this certification by treating their products with chemical fire retardants. ​This never sat right with us, and we worked to develop a cover fabric that met the safety requirements without the need for any chemicals whatsoever.

We are also the only mattress manufacturer to add a hypoallergenic finishing pr​ocess to our covers. We treat them with natural extracts to guarantee protection from dust mites and bed bugs - perfect for allergy sufferers, whose conditions are often triggered by these unwelcome bedfellows.

    Customer service letting you down

    This is the second mattress I have bought from you recently so I knew the quality would be brilliant and it was… but your communication about delivery is awful. The first mattress took longer to make than advised yet no one thought to tell me, when I chased it up, customer service was poor. Second mattress, I received an email saying my mattress was arriving at the time agreed with the delivery team… no one from the delivery team had contacted me and I had to rearrange my schedule when the courier emailed to say that it was arriving the next day.

    Great!

    I noticed that my 9 year old daughters mattress was lumpy and you could feel the springs when you sat or lay on it. I upgraded it to this Teen mattress and it's fantastic - she is very happy, very comfortable and no nasty chemicals or plastics as used by other mainstream manufacturers.

    Beautifully made and comfortable.

    It says "Teen" because apparently it's not quite as thick as an "Adult" one, but I find it very comfortable.
