Delivery

Our most luxurious pocket sprung mattress blends nature’s most decadent materials for the ultimate in comfort.
No expense has been spared to bring together this harmonious orchestra of the most prized natural mattress making materials - including cashmere and needled horsehair. All perfectly balanced with one aim in mind: a better night’s sleep, naturally.

1. Natural Latex
From the sap of the Hevea rubber tree. A springy and supportive natural alternative to synthetic foams.

Organic coconut husk fibres, bound with rubber. Breathable, supportive, durable, and an infinitely renewable material.

Hand nested in individual cotton pockets and available in three tensions - firm, medium and soft.

Sourced from local organic farms. Traps heat when you need it and disperses it when you don’t.

Naturally fire retardant mattress covers made with a signature blend of organic cotton and wool.
We combine these layers of cashmere, and horsehair needled with coconut fibres, with our signature natural latex and organic locally sourced wool. The layers unite to provide superior comfort and breathability, aiding your temperature control and allowing you a more settled night’s sleep whatever the weather. For extra support and long-term rigidity on the most wear-sensitive part of the mattress - its edges - we encase the Sumptuous’ spring unit with a hessian wrapped layer of organic coir.

Clever Covers
In the UK there are strict fire safety standards that mattresses must pass before they can be sold. The majority of manufacturers achieve this certification by treating their products with chemical fire retardants, but this never sat right with us. So we developed a unique covering fabric, woven with a blend of organic cotton and wool, that met the safety requirements without the need for any chemicals whatsoever.
We are also the only mattress manufacturer to add a hypoallergenic finishing process to our covers. We treat them with an Oeko-Tex certified geraniol treatment to guarantee protection from dust mites and bed bugs - perfect for allergy sufferers, whose conditions are often triggered by these unwelcome bedfellows.

At Naturalmat, we believe that people, not machines, make a superior, long-lasting product. Our team of craftspeople ensure every stitch, every fibre, every tufting button and every cover is painstakingly created, teased and checked. That’s why we proudly stamp ‘Made by hand in Devon’ on all of our mattresses.
Sustainable Packaging
We’ve never liked the idea of delivering our beds and mattresses in reams of bulky, plastic packaging - so we challenged ourselves to get rid of it altogether.
In 2021 we introduced these sturdy, waterproof reusable delivery bags, which were specially made for us in the UK. We now deliver almost all of our beds and mattresses in these reusable bags, saving over 5,000kg of single-use plastic since their introduction.

I am so happy with my new mattress, I was desperate to find chemical free option & not only did I find that but I found a local made mattress which is divine to sleep upon, I got the firm which is perfect for me ;) I also purchased the Hemp bedding which apart from a sizing issue is the best quality bedding i've ever had & I have tried them all ;)
So it is quite spendy but when you think about how much time you spend in bed it's a no brainer for me, very happy with it indeed.

We bought our mattress in mid-August and are increasingly content that we have made a good investment.
The choosing (visiting the showroom and trying ALL the different mattresses!) was easy and enjoyable, the subsequent delivery was as agreed with the mattress being unpacked and placed where we wanted and the old one taken away. Everyone we met was very personable and efficient.
The product is proving just what we wanted. Nothing is ever perfect, of course. We would like there to be handling handles on the ends of the mattress as well as the sides.

Since having my new mattress I have slept so well and not woken up with aching back and hips. Changing my mattress was long overdue. What You Need To Know About Delivery

When can I expect delivery?
Our current delivery time for mattresses is 4 - 6 working weeks. We’ll be in touch the week before your delivery date to discuss a convenient time and talk through any access issues for your property.

How does my mattress get to me?
Our mattresses are delivered by our own two man team who will take it up to your bedroom and get it all set up. We deliver our mattresses in reusable duffel bags (rather than plastic) which we will then take away again.

Can you take away my old mattress?
Absolutely! Please add the Mattress Recycling product to your order and your old mattress will either be recycled, or if it’s in good condition, it will be cleaned and donated to charity.
