We marry the traditional sprung comfort of hand-nested pocket springs with wonderfully supportive and breathable natural latex - a natural, chemical-free alternative to synthetic foam. Clever Covers

​In the UK there are strict fire safety standards that mattresses must pass before they can be sold to the public. An overwhelming majority of manufacturers achieve this certification by treating their products with chemical fire retardants. ​This never sat right with us, and we worked to develop a cover fabric that met the safety requirements without the need for any chemicals whatsoever.

We are also the only mattress manufacturer to add a hypoallergenic finishing pr​ocess to our covers. We treat them with natural extracts to guarantee protection from dust mites and bed bugs - perfect for allergy sufferers, whose conditions are often triggered by these unwelcome bedfellows.

Sustainable Packaging

We’ve never liked the idea of delivering our beds and mattresses in reams of bulky, plastic packaging - so we challenged ourselves to get rid of it altogether.

In 2021 we introduced these sturdy, waterproof reusable delivery bags, which were specially made for us in the UK. We now deliver almost all of our beds and mattresses in these reusable bags, saving over 3,400kg of single use plastic since their introduction.

    Love this mattress!

    I absolutely love my Superb. I sleep soundly knowing I’m not sleeping on any chemicals. I also love the lanolin smell, it smells so natural and super relaxing, feeling like you’re at one with the countryside (I only wish the smell didn’t fade). I did struggle initially adjusting to the feel of the mattress but I was advised it may arrive a little firmer than the one tried in the showroom, so this was to be to expected. Nothing that can’t be solved by the addition of a topper if I choose to - even if just for that extra bit of luxury! I do find there is a bit of sideways movement/roll to the mattress when rolling over. In hindsight I may have stretched to the Sumptuous for the additional support, but I’m more than happy with the Superb, which has absolutely ticked all the boxes I was looking for when buying the mattress.

    We love our new mattress!

    We’ve been looking to buy a Naturalmat mattress for a while and now finally we have. Totally worth it - it is wonderful. So comfortable, hard to get out of bed in the morning! And sleeping so well. We received great service, staff were very helpful. We expected a long lead time for delivery but didn’t have to wait long at all. On the day delivery was efficient and on time. Would absolutely recommend Naturalmat to everyone!

    All good after just a few weeks use. Just lacked the usual 'Superb' labelling that confirms the correct mattress from the range has been delivered.

    Probably the best mattress I have ever slept on

    Fabulously comfortable, need say no more. The zipped-halves option was brilliant for getting the mattress up to the attic. The guys who brought it were friendly and efficient, lovely company to deal with throughout, lots of updates and great arrangements for delivery.

What You Need To Know About Delivery

  • When can I expect delivery?

    Our current delivery time for mattresses is 4-6 weeks. We’ll be in touch the week before your delivery date to discuss a convenient time and talk through any access issues for your property.

  • How does my mattress get to me?

    Our mattresses are delivered by our own two man team who will take it up to your bedroom and get it all set up. We deliver our mattresses in reusable duffel bags (rather than plastic) which we will then take away again.

  • Can you take away my old mattress?

    Absolutely! Please add the Mattress Recycling product to your order and your old mattress will either be recycled, or if it’s in good condition, it will be cleaned and donated to charity.
