Organic wool core encased in soft duck down
Unique to Naturalmat, we developed the Wool And Down Pillow to offer the best of both worlds – a supportive organic wool core, surrounded by soft and cosy duck down.
The core of the pillow is hand-stuffed with organic wool, providing support and stability whilst keeping the pillow naturally cool and wicking away excess moisture from your head. The wool core is then wrapped in a thick layer of soft duck down, inviting you to sink in for the ultimate in relaxation.
We used our 25 years of experience to develop this combination of materials, creating a pillow that we believe provides a superior sleep experience. Let us know in the morning!

Washing instructions
Wash at 40ºc on a gentle cycle
Tumble dry on a low heat or leave to air dry

Locally Sourced.
All of the wool that goes into our bedding is sourced from Soil Association certified organic farms local to our Devon workshop.
We buy direct from farmers in Devon, Cornwall and Dorset. This means a better quality of wool for us, and a better deal for the farmers.
By working only with certified organic farmers we can be confident that the health and wellbeing of the sheep is prioritised, and that their farming is undertaken in a way that is friendly to the surrounding environment.
The Wonders of Wool.
Wool really is a wondrous fibre. Any sheep would tell you that. Its properties make it the perfect filling for duvets and pillows.
Wool is an incredibly clever natural insulator that can keep you warm or cool when you need it to, thanks to tiny pockets of air within each wool fibre that provide both insulation and breathability.
It is also naturally moisture-wicking and antimicrobial, which makes it particularly inhospitable to bed bugs and dust mites, and also provides far greater odour resistance compared to synthetic fibres.

Naturally, our wool bedding comes packed in an environmentally friendly way!
No plastics or other single use materials are used at all. Your pillows and duvets make their way to you from Devon in their own protective cotton drawstring bag - which can then be reused as any number of things (we think they make amazing laundry bags!)

I love this pillow! I just got it and havent slept with it yet, but you can tell that it's quality from the materials, and will last years, and there is no use harmful chemicals like most pillows which is good. I'd say it's worth the money if you want an amazing, high quality pillow that will last a long time and also benefit your health from sleeping on something that's free from those harmful chemicals used in polyester, and other synthetic fabrics as your skin is your largest organ. I recommend, it also feels luxury.

Really pleased with my new pillow. It really is so comfy! Beats any plastic filled pillow and my head never gets warm like it would have before. We have been converting to natural produces slowly and feel so much better for it. Absolutely love it, highly recommend.

I love the sinking, floaty feeling of down pillows, but as a side sleeper they were never supportive enough. Then I tried wool, and although the support was great, I missed the softness of the down. Now I have the best of both worlds, and from a sustainable source.
