Made To Measure Mattresses
The made-to-measure option is available on all of our mattresses. As we make each of our mattresses by hand, to order, we can easily accommodate non-standard sizes to fit wherever you sleep. The Naturalmat story started on the high seas some twenty years ago. Both keen sailors, our founders Mark & Peter struggled to understand why mattresses on boats were so uncomfortable. So, on the banks of the River Exe, they began hand making natural fibre mattresses that were breathable, fabulously comfortable - and fitted neatly into a boat's awkward spaces.
A focus on making mattresses to fit neatly into the awkward spaces of a boat was a founding principle of Naturalmat, and is a service which we still proudly offer on our entire range of mattresses for the bedroom and the nursery.
All of our made to measure mattresses are made by hand in our solar-powered Devon workshop with natural & organic fibres. Better for you, and the planet. We've been making natural mattresses for over two decades, and in that time we have gone to great lengths to carefully source the most amazing natural and renewable materials.
We replace sweaty synthetic foams with pads of organic coconut fibres bound together with natural latex. We harness the naturally fire retardant properties of wool in our covers, meaning our made to measure mattresses are completely free of nasty fire retardant chemicals.
