Our organic wool duvets are certainly something special. Handmade here in our Devon workshop and something of a change from traditional plump duvets, these quilted duvets have a much lower profile and are simply amazing at regulating temperature, trapping heat when you need it and dispersing it when you don't. They're also something of a treat for those aesthetes among us who crave simple, sleek bedding.

The Organic Wool Duvet is available in two weights - a 300g summer weight, and 500g spring/autumn weight. Each duvet has cotton ties around the edges, so if the temperature really does plummet you can simply tie them together...guaranteed to keep you toasty!

- 300g = Approximately 3-5 TOG

- 500g = Approximately 6-8 TOG

- British organic wool filling

- 100% cotton cambric casing, OEKO TEX 100 certified

- Handmade in Devon

- Free of any harmful chemicals

- Dry clean only*

*We recommend using eco dry cleaners who use non-toxic biodegradable detergents that are good for you and for our planet.

Locally Sourced.

All of the wool that goes into our bedding is sourced from Soil Association certified organic farms local to our Devon workshop.

We buy direct from farmers in Devon, Cornwall and Dorset. This means a better quality of wool for us, and a better deal for the farmers.

By working only with certified organic farmers we can be confident that the health and wellbeing of the sheep is prioritised, and that their farming is undertaken in a way that is friendly to the surrounding environment.

The Wonders of Wool.

Wool really is a wondrous fibre. Any sheep would tell you that. Its properties make it the perfect filling for duvets and pillows.

Wool is an incredibly clever natural insulator that can keep you warm or cool when you need it to, thanks to tiny pockets of air within each wool fibre that provide both insulation and breathability.

It is also naturally moisture-wicking and antimicrobial, which makes it particularly inhospitable to bed bugs and dust mites, and also provides far greater odour resistance compared to synthetic fibres.

Sustainably Packaged.

Naturally, our wool bedding comes packed in an environmentally friendly way!

No plastics or other single use materials are used at all. Your pillows and duvets make their way to you from Devon in their own protective cotton drawstring bag - which can then be reused as any number of things (we think they make amazing laundry bags!)

    Improving over time

    The duvet 4 stars.

    The sheep smell 0 stars

At first the duvet smelled far too much of sheep. Even after airing outside all day on five occasions I can still smell sheep occasionally. More airing required.

I cannot understand why the smell cannot be eradicated before sale.

Thank you Helen for your honest feedback. Sheep smell is expected and cannot be eradicated pre-sale due to being entirely from natural wool fibres. It sounds like your smell senses are hyper alert and thus pick up this smell more than others would.

    Excellent quality and so comfortable.

I love my new organic wool duvet. Unlike my feather and down quilt, this one is a great weight and stays in place all night. I love the weight of it and the fact that I don’t have to keep taking it off and on as it retains a constant heat and comfort. I’ve already recommended it to a couple of friends.

Wonderful- finally a decent night’s sleep

Everyone said a wool duvet would make a huge difference to my sleep but I didn’t believe them until we finally bought one. I have suffered for a long time with being too hot at night. Now, I have not felt too hot once and have slept really well. I am so grateful.

    Excellent

Spring/Summer weight plenty warm enough for winter too with 2 woollen blankets under it. Very high quality & well made, delighted with it. If you like very lightweight airy duvets it's maybe not for you. Natural & organic materials are a very high priority for comfort, warmth & for the planet!
