A slimline duvet filled with wonderfully breathable organic wool

Handmade here in our Devon workshop and filled with organic wool which we buy directly from farmers on our doorstep in the Southwest, our Organic Wool Duvet is certainly something special. Quite different to traditional plump feather and down, these quilted duvets have a thinner and flatter profile, but they have a lovely weight to them, and look smart and sleek on the bed.

The organic wool inside is a magical duvet filling. Not only is it naturally hypoallergenic and chemical-free, it’s simply amazing at regulating your temperature, trapping heat when you need it and dispersing it when you don’t, to ensure you stay at a comfortable temperature all night long, no matter the season.

The Organic Wool Duvet is available in two weights, a 300g for Spring/Summer and a 500g for Autumn/Winter. Each duvet has cotton ties around the edges, allowing you to tie two duvets together if the temperature really plummets!

Available in two weights
300g – Approximately 3-5 TOG, best for Spring/Summer
500g – Approximately 6-8 TOG, best for Autumn/Winter

• OEKO TEX 100 certified 100% cotton cambric cover
• Packaged in a reusable cotton drawstring bag

Locally Sourced.

All of the wool that goes into our bedding is sourced from Soil Association certified organic farms local to our Devon workshop.

We buy direct from farmers in Devon, Cornwall and Dorset. This means a better quality of wool for us, and a better deal for the farmers.

By working only with certified organic farmers we can be confident that the health and wellbeing of the sheep is prioritised, and that their farming is undertaken in a way that is friendly to the surrounding environment.

The Wonders of Wool.

Wool really is a wondrous fibre. Any sheep would tell you that. Its properties make it the perfect filling for duvets and pillows.

Wool is an incredibly clever natural insulator that can keep you warm or cool when you need it to, thanks to tiny pockets of air within each wool fibre that provide both insulation and breathability.

It is also naturally moisture-wicking and antimicrobial, which makes it particularly inhospitable to bed bugs and dust mites, and also provides far greater odour resistance compared to synthetic fibres.

Sustainably Packaged.

Naturally, our wool bedding comes packed in an environmentally friendly way!

No plastics or other single use materials are used at all. Your pillows and duvets make their way to you from Devon in their own protective cotton drawstring bag - which can then be reused as any number of things (we think they make amazing laundry bags!)

    Great Duvet

Purchased this for my little one as we have one ourselves. I never sweat in bed anymore and it keeps me cool when it's hot and warm when it's cold. Worth every penny and great to find a company that produce quality products using no nasty toxins or chemicals.

    Cosy or cool or both!

I love my organic wool duvet! Ever since I experienced a wool duvet years ago in Germany, I’ve had it at the back of my mind but hadn’t actively searched one out until I bought a mattress from Naturalmat and saw one in their range. So I’ve had a cool summer under it and now looking forward to a cosy winter under same!

    Love this duvet

Apprehensive at first as so thin but this is warm when it needs to be and cool when it needs to be - keeps the bed looking neat when made. Wouldn’t go back to down and feather now!

    Improving over time

    The duvet 4 stars.

    The sheep smell 0 stars

At first the duvet smelled far too much of sheep. Even after airing outside all day on five occasions I can still smell sheep occasionally. More airing required.

I cannot understand why the smell cannot be eradicated before sale.

Thank you Helen for your honest feedback. Sheep smell is expected and cannot be eradicated pre-sale due to being entirely from natural wool fibres. It sounds like your smell senses are hyper alert and thus pick up this smell more than others would.
