Our reimagined Torrington Headboard, where timeless timber meets soft upholstery.

A fresh take on our Scandi inspired Torrington Headboard, this reimagined headboard features a cosier, more inviting look thanks to its upholstery, which combines the natural beauty of beech with colours, textures, or patterns of fabrics. 

The gentle curves of the slatted headboard add depth and texture to the bedroom, drawing in the eye and making it a focal point, without compromising on comfort. Adjustable to heights between 103cm and 130cm, the headboard’s wooden slats are upholstered with our signature recycled denim, a soft and breathable pad which is made using offcuts from jeans factories, and our locally sourced organic wool. 

As always, the headboard contains no synthetic foam and passes all safety tests without the use of any chemical fire retardants.

Very few headboards are made the way we craft them

Handmade in Devon, properly

We handcraft our headboards in our Devon workshop using traditional joinery techniques which ensure they last a lifetime. Unlike most headboards which are simply stapled together, ours are glued (using organic glue) and screwed for a much sturdier and longer lasting construction. And because we make everything ourselves, we’re always happy to accommodate bespoke requests like making headboards taller or wider, or indeed creating something entirely unique.

The natural difference

Many of the same natural and organic fibres in our mattresses feature in our headboards too. We start with FSC-certified timber (FSC® C185003) for the frame and layer on organic coir or recycled denim depending on the design. The headboard is then wrapped in locally sourced organic wool before being finished with one of our natural fabrics. The result is a natural headboard, completely free of synthetic foam and chemical fire retardants, which will provide years of comfort.

What You Need To Know About Delivery

  • When can I expect delivery?

    Our current delivery time for headboards is 4-6 weeks. We’ll be in touch the week before your delivery date to discuss a convenient time and talk through any access issues for your property.

  • How will my headboard arrive?

    Your headboard will be delivered in a reusable duffel bag in one piece, unless you specify otherwise. So please check it will fit up the stairs before placing your order!

  • Will you help me build it?!

    Yes, fear not! Our headboards are delivered by our own two man team who will take it up to your bedroom, assemble it for you and bring the reusable duffel bags back to our workshop.
