Handmade in Devon meets contemporary Scandi styling.

Handmade in Devon meets pure, contemporary Scandinavian styling - the Torrington bed is crafted here in our Topsham workshop from beautiful sustainable beechwood.

The Torrington comes as standard in Beech, but is also available in solid Oak, Ash or Walnut - all in a raw finish.

Each one is hand built from only sustainable timber to ensure our impact on the environment is as small as possible, whilst the materials we use are of the highest quality.

Please note that unless specified upon order, bed bases from a Small Double and larger come split in two (head to toe) as standard, for ease of delivery.

Very few beds are built the way we build them

Handmade in Devon, properly

We handcraft our beds in our Devon workshop using traditional joinery techniques which ensure they last a lifetime. Unlike most bed frames which are simply stapled together, ours are glued (using organic glue) and screwed for a much sturdier and longer lasting construction. And because we make everything ourselves, we’re always happy to accommodate bespoke requests like making headboards taller or wider, or swapping the standard feet for something different.

The natural difference

Each Torrington bed, bed base or headboard is hand built from only sustainable timber to ensure our impact on the environment is as small as possible, whilst the materials we use are of the highest quality at our solar-powered workshop in Topsham by talented craftspeople, like Tom here.

Responsibly sourced

We are proud to use sustainably sourced, British hardwood in our Torrington. As with our mattresses, making beds that will last you a long time is very important to us. Your Torrington bed can be made from Beech, Oak, Ash or Walnut - all offering great longevity and durability. Beech, which is our favourite wood to use for the Torrington is strong and hard whilst offering flexibility.

What You Need To Know About Delivery

  • When can I expect delivery?

    Our current delivery time for beds is 4-6 weeks. We’ll be in touch the week before your delivery date to discuss a convenient time and talk through any access issues for your property.

  • How will my bed arrive?

    We will deliver your bed in a reusable duffel bag (rather than plastic), with the base split or in one piece depending on the option you select above. Please consider whether your bed will fit up the stairs when making this choice!

  • Will you help me build it?!

    Yes, fear not! Our beds are delivered by our own two person team who will take it up to your bedroom, assemble it for you and bring the reusable duffel bags back to our workshop.
