Delivery
Delivery is free of charge and our current delivery time for mattresses is 8 weeks. Please ensure the size you choose will fit up your stairs, around any corners, and through any doorways on the way to your bedroom. If you’d like us to take away your old mattress when we deliver please add The Mattress Recycling product to your basket. You can find more info below or on our Delivery page.

Clever Covers
In the UK there are strict fire safety standards that mattresses must pass before they can be sold. The majority of manufacturers achieve this certification by treating their products with chemical fire retardants, but this never sat right with us. So we developed a unique covering fabric, woven with a blend of organic cotton and wool, that met the safety requirements without the need for any chemicals whatsoever.
We are also the only mattress manufacturer to add a hypoallergenic finishing process to our covers. We treat them with an Oeko-Tex certified geraniol treatment to guarantee protection from dust mites and bed bugs - perfect for allergy sufferers, whose conditions are often triggered by these unwelcome bedfellows.
Handmade in Devon
At Naturalmat, we believe that people, not machines, make a superior, long-lasting product. Our team of craftspeople ensure every stitch, every fibre, every tufting button and every cover is painstakingly created, teased and checked. That’s why we proudly stamp ‘Made by hand in Devon’ on all of our mattresses.
Sustainable Packaging
We’ve never liked the idea of delivering our beds and mattresses in reams of bulky, plastic packaging - so we challenged ourselves to get rid of it altogether.
In 2021 we introduced these sturdy, waterproof reusable delivery bags, which were specially made for us in the UK. We now deliver almost all of our beds and mattresses in these reusable bags, saving over 5,000kg of single-use plastic since their introduction.

It's usually not the most productive idea to doomscroll on all of the bad things associated with the home environment, but I went there while planning our move and realized that we would not be taking our memory foam and did not want to buy another chemical filled foam mattress. We were a bit sticker shocked at the cost of the mattress at first, but after all of the reviews (and now the experience of it), we can absolutely say it is worth the cost and is amazing! For some, there is definitely the "farm smell" for a fair bit after delivery, but it at least smells natural and not like a chemical plant! (and the smell does go away).

Being a bit light, I wanted a soft mattress but also with good eco-credentials. The soft Superb mattress is perfect. To be honest I think it is the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept in. My partner loves it too.
Naturalmat are local and ethical and the delivery men were fantastic. A great experience purchasing from them.

What You Need To Know About Delivery

When can I expect delivery?
Our current delivery time for mattresses is 8 working weeks. We’ll be in touch the week before your delivery date to discuss a convenient time and talk through any access issues for your property.

How does my mattress get to me?
Our mattresses are delivered by our own two man team who will take it up to your bedroom and get it all set up. We deliver our mattresses in reusable duffel bags (rather than plastic) which we will then take away again.

Can you take away my old mattress?
Absolutely! Please add the Mattress Recycling product to your order and your old mattress will either be recycled, or if it’s in good condition, it will be cleaned and donated to charity.
