Wool at the heart of better sleep

You’ll find this naturally breathable fibre at the heart of almost everything we make, from handcrafted mattresses and beds to sumptuous pillows and duvets.

Thanks to its temperature-regulating abilities, wool helps create a healthier, more comfortable sleeping environment throughout the year. It works hard behind the scenes, helping you stay cosy in winter and cool on warmer nights.

Our Wool Favourites

Our most-loved wool creations, naturally chemical-free and exceptionally temperature-regulating, meticulously handcrafted in our Devon workroom.

GOTS Organic Wool

We’re especially proud of our organic wool, which comes from sheep grazing the lush, green fields of the west country, all local to our purpose-built workshop on the banks of the River Exe. A local natural resource, for a locally made product.

The wool is directly sourced from local wool farmers in Devon, Dorset and Cornwall that are organic certified to GOTS standards by either the Soil Association or Organic Farmers & Growers. Buying direct from farmers means we are able to pay a premium of at least 30% more for their wool than if they went through standard market auctions, in recognition of what we believe is their true value.

Our wool is exceptionally comfortable and a wonderful insulator, almost magically trapping heat when you need it and dispersing it when you don’t. It is also naturally fire-retardant and antimicrobial, making it free of chemicals and dust-mites, for the most natural night’s sleep you’ve ever had.

Organic Wool Pillows

Naturally supportive and luxuriously comfortable, our organic wool pillows are thoughtfully crafted to encourage deep rest and renewal

Healthy Flock, Happy Farmers

Behind every mattress, bed, pillow and duvet is a network of local farmers who help make it all possible. The people behind our wool are based on our South West doorstep, where they produce the Soil Association-certified organic wool that goes into almost everything we make. By working directly with these farmers, we can trace our wool right back to the fields where it was grown, while supporting the farming communities that supply it.

Buying direct also means we can pay farmers fairly for their wool. Rather than relying on standard market auctions, we offer a premium of at least 30% above market rates, reflecting the value we place on both the material and the people who produce it. By sourcing exclusively from certified organic farms, we can also be confident that the wool comes from flocks raised to high standards of animal welfare, with careful stewardship of both the sheep and the land they graze.

Natural Fibre Mattresses

Made with natural and organic fibres for a firmer, denser feel

Natural Fibre Mattresses

Organic wool is one of the key materials used throughout our Natural Fibre range. Carefully sourced from local farms, it sits alongside supportive organic coir and springy natural latex to create mattresses that are comfortable, breathable and built to last.

Valued for its ability to help regulate temperature, wool creates a comfortable sleeping environment throughout the year. It also adds softness to the mattress, working in harmony with the coir and latex layers beneath. Like every material we use in our Natural Fibre mattresses, our wool is carefully selected and sourced, helping us create mattresses from nature's best mattress-making materials.
